Choosing the Right Barbell for Your Training Needs
Not all barbells are built the same. The bar you use for heavy squats or deadlifts isn’t the same one you’ll want for snatches or clean & jerks. That’s why we offer a full lineup of barbells designed for specific lifting styles and goals.
Olympic Weightlifting Bars
Designed for dynamic movements like snatches and cleans, with the right balance of whip and smooth sleeve spin.
Powerlifting Bars
Stiffer construction with minimal flex, aggressive knurling, and center knurl marks—ideal for squats, bench press, and deadlifts.
Multipurpose Bars
The most versatile barbell we offer—great for home gyms, Cross-Training, and general strength work.
Technique Bars
Lightweight bars designed for beginners or youth athletes who want to learn proper form before loading heavy.
All our Olympic barbells feature standard 2-inch sleeves and are built from high-tensile steel to handle heavy training loads with consistent performance.
What to Look for in a Barbell
When shopping for the right barbell, keep a few key specs in mind:
Tensile Strength (PSI)
The higher the number, the stronger the bar. Our barbells start at 190,000+ PSI for serious durability under load.
Knurling Style
Need a smoother grip for dynamic work or an aggressive grip for heavy pulls? We offer passive, medium, and aggressive knurl patterns—with or without center knurling.
Bar Whip
Bars with more whip are ideal for Olympic lifting, while stiffer bars are preferred for static lifts like squats and bench.
Sleeve Spin
Choose between bushings or bearings depending on your need for speed and control. Bearings offer smoother, faster rotation—ideal for fast, explosive lifts.
