The Competition J-Cups use a sandwich design, where a thick UHMW plastic core is bolted between two 1/4" laser-cut steel plates. Unlike standard J-cups that only have plastic on the surface, this design ensures that even if you miss a rack and hit the side or bottom, your barbell only ever touches protective plastic.

Will these fit my current squat rack?

These J-cups are designed specifically for 3x3" uprights with 5/8" holes. They are compatible with the entire Iron Bull rack line and most other industry-standard 3x3 racks that use 5/8" hardware.

How much weight can these J-cups hold?

Thanks to the 1/4" heavy-duty steel construction and reinforced pins, these J-cups are rated for a massive 1,000+ lb capacity per pair, making them suitable for elite-level powerlifting.

Will they damage the powder coat on my rack?

No. These units feature UHMW plastic lining on the interior of the bracket. This creates a buffer that prevents metal-to-metal contact, protecting your rack’s finish from scratches when you slide or adjust them.
