Complete Knee Support for Squats, Powerlifting and Weightlifting

The right knee support depends on how you train, how heavy you go, and whether you compete. Iron Bull's knee support lineup covers every scenario — from a 5mm sleeve you wear through an entire conditioning session to a 7mm competition sleeve built for a 300kg squat attempt to knee wraps that give competitive powerlifters every legal mechanical advantage available.

Every product in this collection is sized by circumference above the kneecap — not by generic size labels that mean nothing when compression is the entire point. A knee support product that doesn't fit tightly isn't supporting anything. We build to fit, and we size to compress.

Knee Sleeves for Daily Training

Our 5mm and 7mm knee sleeves are the foundation of this collection. The 5mm Performance sleeve is the right choice for high-rep work, conditioning, and longer sessions where you want support you can wear all day without restricting movement. The 7mm range — Standard, Pro, and Premium — is built for heavy squats, powerlifting, and Olympic weightlifting where maximum compression and warmth are the priority. Knee Wraps for Maximum Effort

Knee wraps are not a substitute for knee sleeves — they serve a different purpose. Where sleeves provide passive all-session support, wraps are wound tightly before a maximal squat attempt to generate aggressive rebound out of the hole. They are used almost exclusively for competition or peak testing weeks, not as daily training equipment. Our knee wraps meet IPF specifications for equipped powerlifting divisions.

Knee Sleeves vs Knee Wraps — Which Do You Need?

This is the most common question we get about knee support, and the honest answer is: most lifters need sleeves, and competitive powerlifters in equipped divisions also need wraps. Here's how to decide:

Use knee sleeves if: you squat regularly, you train in a cold gym, you have a history of knee irritation or previous injury, you compete in raw powerlifting, or you do Olympic weightlifting. Sleeves go on at the start of your session and stay on. They warm the joint, improve proprioception, and provide consistent compression across every set.

Use knee wraps if: you compete in an equipped or classic equipped powerlifting division, you are testing absolute max strength, or you are using wraps as a training tool on your heaviest sets. Wraps are wound before each set and removed immediately after — they are not all-session support gear.

Use both if: you compete in equipped powerlifting and want daily training support plus competition-specific mechanical assistance. Sleeves for all training sessions, wraps for competition and peak testing.

5mm and 7mm Options

5mm for volume and all-session wear. 7mm for heavy squats, powerlifting, and competition. Both sized by circumference — not generic S/M/L labels that tell you nothing about fit.

Sleeves and Wraps

Passive daily support from neoprene sleeves. Maximum competition rebound from knee wraps. The right tool for the right session — both built to the same standard of quality and fit.

IPF Legal Options

Our Premium 7mm Knee Sleeves meet IPF equipment specifications. Compete in IPF, USAPL, AMP, and all affiliated federations with confidence. Verify your federation's current equipment list before meet day.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between knee sleeves and knee wraps?
Knee sleeves slide on and provide consistent passive compression and warmth throughout a session. Knee wraps are wound around the joint before each set and provide significantly more aggressive rebound — they're used almost exclusively for competition or near-maximal squats. See our knee wraps collection.

Do I need knee sleeves, knee wraps, or both?
Most lifters need knee sleeves and use them every session. Knee wraps are specifically for competitive powerlifters in equipped divisions or lifters testing absolute maximum strength. If you train raw or do Olympic weightlifting, sleeves are all you need. If you compete in equipped powerlifting, you may want both — sleeves for training and wraps for competition.

Are knee sleeves good for knee pain when squatting?
Knee sleeves can reduce patellar irritation by keeping the joint warm and providing proprioceptive feedback that helps the knee track correctly under load. They are not a medical treatment. If you have persistent knee pain during squatting, consult a physiotherapist before training through it — a sleeve can help manage symptoms but will not resolve the underlying cause.

What size knee support do I need?
For both knee sleeves and knee wraps, measure the circumference of your leg 15cm above the centre of your kneecap. Match that measurement to the size chart on each product page. When between sizes, go smaller for sleeves to ensure proper compression. Knee wraps are typically one-size and adjusted by wrapping technique and tension.

Can I wear knee sleeves for deadlifts?
No. The sleeve sits exactly where the bar needs to travel up your leg and will catch on the neoprene at the sticking point — the hardest part of the pull. Wear knee sleeves for squats, leg press, and knee-dominant movements only. Pull without them.

How do I care for knee sleeves and knee wraps?
Rinse knee sleeves with cold water after each use and air dry flat. Never put neoprene in a washing machine or dryer — heat degrades the material and permanently reduces compression. Knee wraps can be hand-washed in cold water and laid flat to dry. Store both items unrolled in a dry location out of direct sunlight.
