Do I really need knee sleeves if my knees don't hurt?
You don't need to have bad knees to benefit from knee sleeves. Most lifters wear them because the compression, warmth, and support simply make squatting feel better.
If you squat regularly, knee sleeves are one of those pieces of equipment that quickly become part of your normal setup. Once you get used to training in them, it's hard to go back to squatting without them.
Will I actually notice a difference when I squat?
You should notice it from your first squat session. The 7mm neoprene provides firm compression around the knee while helping keep the joint warm throughout your workout.
The result is a more supported, locked in feeling when you squat, especially as the weight gets heavier.
Are 7mm knee sleeves only for powerlifters?

How should knee sleeves fit?

A proper fit will feel noticeably tighter than regular clothing. That's intentional. The compression is a big part of what makes knee sleeves feel so supportive.

I am a 5 Foot 10, ~185lb male, average build and the M was a perfect choice. My knees were measuring at just outside the upper limit for recommended mediums, however, it was the right choice. I am a long time crossfitter and have been using the knee sleeves for my strength days and they are solid. Help keep things warm but also give a degree of support whether psychological or physical that I find really helps with the lifts. They are comfortable and fit well, excellent quality and highly recommend.
